of dinner @ 1036 Live Seafood

Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

This Zi Char coffeeshop is located at one corner of 1036 Sembawang road. The place is alittle dark at the carpark area ( offers free parking) but is brightly lilted at the coffee shop area.Overall the food is quite nice and reasonably price.

Food : ** 1/2
Price : **1/2
Customer service : ** ( the waitress just dump the menu at us rudely and when we ask her to take our orders, she simply ignore us. )

we ordered a few dishes and maybe it is not their signature dish. and we weren't told which are their signature dish due to their bad customer service ma. refused to even talk more le.so we just ordered what we like

Hotplate toufu.this dish is quite ok. generous with the ingredients and not too salty. but i feel the dish is abit not "hot" when served.

Fish Maw soup. we love this. also, very generous with the amount of fish maw. the soup is not too thick unlike some.

stirred fried beans. not too bad except the beans is super long and makes it difficult to eat

butter pork ribs. strangely i dont find any bones in any piece of the meat. the meat is a little too tough for me and too "jer lat" (over cloying) for my liking. but if you take 1 or 2 piece is still ok.

Dinner @ Majestic Restaurant.
This is my first time to Majestic Restaurant @ New Majestic Hotel. Heard much raves from LL on their super delicious set lunch and they really make me drool lol.

Majestic Restaurant is the award winning restaurant that features Cantonese cuisine by the internationally renowned award winning chef Yong Bing Ngen. they served set meal for dinner at 68 bucks to 88 bucks ( per pax) or ala carte dishes for approx 10-20 bucks per dish.

For our dinner this time, we ordered some of their dishes from their ala carte menu. and they are super good!

Overall
Price : *** ( for 6 pax, we spend approx 400 bucks including tax)
Food : ***1/2
Customer service : ***

Will i come again? Yes! and i will be back for more of their famous signature dishes!

Their Peking Duck. the skin is very crispy and i love their peking duck sauce! I discovered a new taste too, it taste superb with their chicken rice chilli sauce! love it! i love their chilli sauce!

we asked them to stir-fry the rest of the duck meat and eat it as a lettuce wrap dish

chicken soup is very refreshing for us.

homemade toufu is very smooth and soft. I love it but its a pity that the toufu sauce taste a little bland.

Kurobuta pork chop! i love this dish! the pork is a little fatty though but overall this dish is really good!

claypot chicken rice. I m so in love with this dish! their chicken rice is cooked in the claypot as in those hainanese chicken rice type! their chilli taste super gd with the chicken rice! i love it love it love it!

ending our dinner with their durian desert! i was kinda disappointed with their mao shan wang durian with gula melaka cos it is freaking expensive and it is just purely durian meat. 10 bucks for 1 scoop ( super small scoop) =(
i think a much worth will be their deep fried durian ice cream lol

of Jpot-ing @ Vivo city

Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

like many of my post, i always wanted to try new food but need kakis la. so on the very faithful thursday, i got 2 kakis to go jpot with me haha. Jpot (opened by jumbo) is located at Vivo city #01-53. always packed but lucky for us, we did not need to wait very long.

there are various soup based to choose from ( about 4-5). you can choose 2 pots for sharing or 1 pot for each pax. however, we took 2 pots for sharing (jpot special broth and tom yam soup based ~ refillable). The ingredients is ala carte based and each plate cost about 0.5 ( for egg) until  X amount ( cos they sell fresh seafood so it depends on the weight ). The ingredients comes in small plates which i find the quantity is very small so we ended up ordering repeated ingredients or double the quantity for each order ( imagine chicken hotdog comes in 2 pieces only lol per 1 order).

You also need to mix your own sauce for the food which i feel it will taste a little weird with sesame sauce + chilli paste + soya sauce + x sauce lol. so i insist on sesame sauce only lol

Overall
Food : *** ( Tom yam is not as spicy. Jpot special broth is good,)
Price : **** (slightly steep)
Customer service : ** ( we asked for refill but it took them ages to do it. We had to ask multiple staff to refill and only 1 managed to do it in the end.)

some of the must try ingredient i feel : fried bean curb, prawn noodles, meat balls

of Taiwan day 8 ~ returning to Taipei

Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

on this day, we did our last minute shopping at Jiu fen before returning to Taipei city to pick up our wedding photos. we did a quick shopping and lunch before we rush down to the train station to go bk to taipei. we found this small restaurant at the old street of jiu fen selling very good beef noodles!

we reach taipei at approx 4pm and check in back to sunroute hotel before heading down to the bridal studio to pick up our wedding photo. wanted to do a little shopping until my mum called me to tell me Ronnie passed away and left me crying non stop at the train station. we both cried cos Ronnie is very dear to us and i couldnt believe that he is gone like that. although i m mentally prepared but still i couldnt take it. LL seeing that i cried so badly that he tries to comfort me by bringing me to eat shabu shabu for the last time in taiwan. cos he knows that i love shabu in taiwan but sadly, although i was sitting infront of premium beef i dont hav the appetite to eat ..the food just taste bitter to me although LL keeps telling me it is good. but anyway, i still managed to take some pictures of the food.
after dinner, we headed bk to hotel and then i broke down again the whole night until the next day. until today, i still cannot understand y Ronnie choose to leave me or is it because i told him not to hang on anymore.but nevertheless, i m thankful that LL is with me during this period of time and been giving in to my nonsense when my emotion is at rock bottom.

of taiwan day 7 part 2 ~ Ping Xi

Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

This is the first time we explored out of Taipei city and into Jiu Fen and Ping Xi. We heard alot of nice sceneries at Jiu Fen and Ping Xi. Ping Xi is very famouns for Tian Teng ( sky lantern) when u reach there, you can see alot of people flying their Tian Teng. Just for experience, we also bought one ourselves. we wrote our wishes on the lantern itself and send it flying into the sky.

and yes, it is all bullshit. my wish did not come true. cos i wrote for Ronnie to get well but Fuck. he passed away the next day. What the hell. it only teaches me one thing. all these are bullshit. and to cheat money !@#@#$%%$#%

we made a mistake for buying tickets to ping xi only. should have gotten the day pass but we only have limited time to go to Ping Xi so...
the train is always fully packed with people.

our tian deng (sky lantern) with our wishes..ok. mine for Ronine doesnt come true but i hope the rest will..damm. else i will b cursing the shop until no day no night. we got one with different colors on each side and each color represent individual meaning like health, wealth, career, happiness
there are 4 sides and you can write your so call wishes on each side

after they lit up the lantern, you got some time to camwhore with your master piece before letting it fly high up to the sky.
and then up it go!

LL took a picture of me at the railway track lol. realize  i wear the same thing yrs when i travel to Taipei lol. except now is dr Mart shoes haha. the trusty old jacket has been with me for a long long time! and it still exist! bought it when me n hazyham working in singtel le. at esprit lo.
the weather was very bad that day. drizzling the whole day. and we are lucky that we both had hood on our jackets lol.

queuing for their sausage again...

every single shop also sell their iconic souvenirs ~ Sky lanterns. very cute but i din buy any cos i already got one in wofy which got me really pissed after Ronnie's death that i feel like throwing the damm thing away
 taiwan sausage

picture of LL pointing to where we were

we also tried their local soft drink. kinda weird as they got a marble inside the glass bottle. for wat i also dont know haha
artistic picture of the sky lantern hanging at the rail way station on our way back

cute auntie selling pineapple tarts that shaped like kittens. very cute!

ending the day with Ta- bao dinner from the night market at Rui Fang food centre haha
